Hey beautiful human! Ashley Saturna here. Wife, mama to two, avid traveler, homemaker, and photographer.
My story with photography began in the spring of 2018, when I bought my first Nikon DSLR camera. Capturing everything from my travels, family gatherings, and holidays, I soon became passionate about preserving life’s little “moments”. I fell in love with the raw emotions I could see through my lens and the freezing of time that photographs permitted. Since 2018, I’ve upgraded my gear (substantially), built a wonderful client base, got married and had two beautiful babies, and photographed over 30 weddings here in YYC!
A good day of photography is when I’ve captured those deep belly laughs, the special looks between couples and families, and all the moments in between- wrapped up within golden light of course.
You ARE my client if:
-You get more of a rush from looking back through old photo albums than the likes you receive on Facebook; you love yourself and believe in authenticity rather than perfection; you like to laugh and don’t always take things too seriously
You ARE NOT my client if:
-You are more interested in posting photos on social media than printing them for real life; you are insecure and a perfectionist and constantly compare yourself to what you see online and in magazines; you hate corny jokes and having fun
Why should you choose me as your photographer?
- I believe that a comfortable and fun environment will always produce the best photos. I strive to get my clients laughing, playing, singing, dancing; whatever it takes to shake off that stress of having your photo taken! *I also am keen on giving A LOT of direction- no awkward moments of not knowing how to pose, where to stand etc!
- I am committed to wedding photography affordability. The wedding marketplace is out of control with spending! Sometimes weddings will cost in the tens of thousands. This is not something I believe in and I am here to offer affordable photography for those who aren’t made of millions.
- I’m fairly flexible with places to shoot and am very open minded to your ideas and vision. Not too many things scare me! Besides heights and spiders that is.
- I will never not answer your email- as my client, you are my top priority. I am here to answer all your questions and concerns. I will always show up on time and deliver your gallery to you by the deadline outlined in our contract!
