This winter I have been location hunting!! I have had soo many local inspirations that I am now just dying to cross off my bucket list. I am hoping some couples/families will be brave enough to make the trek out to these majestic places! If you are booked with me for your engagement, family, or maternity session, and have yet to pick a spot, take a gander at some of these beauties below:
1. Bighorn Lookout
Approx. 1 hour from south Calgary- this place is the best of the Rockies and rolling hills combined. Grassy hilltops and cliffs- it reminds me so much of Ireland, but with an Alberta twist. With a west facing sunset promising beautiful golden hues, Big Horn is up at #1 on my location bucket list this year.
2. Grotto Canyon
Approx. 45mins from west Calgary, this place is on my winter bucket list this year- the grotto has an amazing ice path that leads to a frozen waterfall!
3. Drumheller Hoodos
This summer/early fall I will be headed back to this gorgeous out-of-this world spot and would love to capture some families or couples here!
4. Sheep River Falls
With a beautiful waterfall, a unique cascading shelf of rock and towering mountains in the background, this is one I HAVE to check out this spring/summer!
5. Little Bow Provincial Park
If you know me, you know I love rolling hills, water, and a weeping birch. This place seems to hit the trifecta. I will be planning to go camping out here with my little family at least once this summer! Photos while we’re here anyone??
